TERPS are competing NOW: Jan 17-Mar 27, 2010
The University of Maryland has been participating in Recyclemania ---an annual
10-week, recycling and waste reduction competition among colleges and universities nationwide since 2007.
Each year TERPS see an increased effort in recycling across campus.
How Recyclemania works:
Each week during the competition, we report our recyclables and waste weights and Recyclemania calculates
our standing in the competition relative to our enrollment, resident student population, and number of
staff. Weekly ratings are publicized to the campus community throughout the competition at on this web site,
through other venues on campus, and at
www.recyclemaniacs.org
Recyclemania is endorsed by . . .
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s WasteWise Program
National Wildlife Federation’s Campus Ecology Program
