| Recyclemania January 17 - March 27, 2010 Help . . . Design a new Recyclemania at Maryland logo and submit it in the contest (open to all UM students). This logo will be used for all of our Recyclemania publicity for 2010. Just click on "Logo Contest" on the left of this page. Encourage your follow students, faculty, and staff to recycle--- to stop putting recyclables in the trash and to reduce waste--- to make sustainable choices. Recycle all paper, all cardboard, all plastic, all glass, and all metal. See www.environment.umd.edu/recycle more details. Talk about the importance of recycling and waste reduction with roommates, peers, colleagues, and others. Discuss strategies to reduce waste such as printing on both sides of paper, reducing the amount of materials you buy or acquire, re-using items, etc. Create a U-Tube video encouraging recycling and waste reduction.
